My problem is when I'm trying to combine it - first texture have to been repeated about 20x times in both directions to look fine, but the second mustn't be repeated. I'm trying add into it some different painted colors BodyPaint 3D in one texture without repeating. Say a stock model like this one for example I'm sure it varies from stock model to stock model as to how they exported the model, some may import fine and some may not.My object is big-size landscape with repeating texture of sand. Indeed, that is what I have been having to with the models that don't import correctly This is definitely not ideal though, when I'm spending money on a high quality stock, I would like not have to spend the time to redo the materials. Especially if they have very particular bump maps ect. However when i purchase a stock model with particular textures already made, you can see why I would like to have those in place. Why can't you create your own materials? It wouldn't be that hard and anything that uses a texture map will be fine as the UV map s would have been imported ok. Maybe import the 3ds or obj file into another 3D app even a time limited demo then export from that. It is only importing them into one big object, can't get it to separate the parts of the object, and still loading no textures You can break up the model into separate objects in R13 using the 'Polygon groups to objects' command in the Mesh menu. This loads basic materials and materials with texture maps.

The stocks included 3ds, max, and obj files, but none import with the proper textures For obj format you need to install the free Riptide plugin. I have purchased some stock 3d Models from Turbo Squid I seem to lose the textures when I import.
